Our Thursday Night Cycles continue until September, see below for details.
The An Óige Cork Kerry Regional Group is the only leisure cycling group based in Cork City. It has been in existence since 1953; most of our events begin outside the Opera House, especially our Summer Thursday Night Cycles which run from April until early September. During the Winter months we remain active, with a cycle on Saturday mornings (see the Cycles Programme page).
For the Thursday Night Cycles, there are usually four cycles, depending on numbers: a short (social) cycle for those who may not have been on a bike for some time, one (or two) medium cycles for the slightly fitter people, and a long cycle, for those who are well used to cycling.
Joining the group is simple: arrive at the Opera House, with a bike in good working order, with a pump and a helmet, plus spare tube, and that's pretty much it! Oh! And a smile would not go astray!
Long, medium and short cycles each evening - and continue for 24 weeks - until early September. Meet Opera House before 7pm
